Devolution Evolution

In Summer 2020 as the creative industries remained closed Tangled Feet commissioned a group of local, national and international artistic freelancers to make new solo work in lockdown. We called it Devolution Evolution - a devolving of creative power to our freelance family.

One year on, the creative industries are starting to re-open and this July we are sharing some of these new creative ideas, provocations and pieces of art as part of an Open House in the new Hat Works building and site specifically inside the Luton Town shop in The Mall.

All artists have explored the theme of Catalyst: the moment of change. They will deliver their responses through sound installations, short films, video art, podcasts, recipes, performance, open rehearsals and a dazzling immersive projection space.

Drop in on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th July between 12pm-3pm and 5pm-8pm for a unique insight into how theatre makers, designers, musicians, actors, directors, stage managers, performance artists all make work.

Open 12pm-3pm and 5pm-8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
