The Culture Trust , Luton invites tenders for an exciting opportunity to create a new daytime offer in the Hat Factory Arts Centre café. Open 9.00am – 5.00pm this shall be a new type of destination for food and drink, right in the heart of Luton. Situated on the main thoroughfare between Luton central train station and the town centre the Hat Factory Arts Centre is in a prime location with an estimated daily footfall in excess of 8k. The food and beverage offer will compliment and respond to the year-round programme of activity presented in the Hat Factory Arts Centre. This is an enticing time to invest in Luton with the imminent construction of The Stage and Luton Town’s new stadium at Power Court.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Commercial and Operations teams, for Casual Duty Managers, to assist with the day to day provision of a high quality front of house and commercial service at The Culture Trust Venues and during events.
The successful applicant will be the primary contact point and lead front-line staff at all sites. You will be the first point of contact for staff, customers, hirers and users of the facilities, ensuring the health and safety and well-being of all staff and users, as well as dealing with all technical, building and commercial issues. You will be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer care at all times and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
About you:
You will have experience of managing events, staff and buildings as well as experience of delivering a high quality customer experience. You will have good written and spoken communication skills and experience of supervising others to ensure the smooth running of buildings and events.
You will have knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations, and some knowledge of licensing. You will be able to work on your own initiative within established procedures and guidelines and be confident to deal with a busy environment and resolve any issues that arise.

We have an exciting opportunity available and are currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide full administrative, PA and secretarial support to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees. Produce and keep up-to-date the forward plan and schedule of meetings and leadership team activity, plan and prepare for key meetings, coordinate reports and papers, take minutes and perform Company Secretary Duties.
You will organise the Chief Executive’s office functions and ensure efficient and professional operations whilst communicating with a range of stakeholders, staff and customers. You will ensure that data and information is collated, managed, stored and shared appropriately and you will present clear information in verbal, written and digital formats.
About You:
As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will have a proactive approach to tasks, with an in-depth understanding of the requirements in providing PA/ administrative support to senior management and Company board.
You will have excellent organisational, communicational and interpersonal skills in addition to the high standard of written skills required for this role including minute taking and the ability to compile well-written and grammatically correct documents and letters.

This opportunity will be based across our museums and art centre sites on a variable shift rota and will include weekends.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead collections management, care, and conservation across The Culture Trust’s museum sites. In this key position, you will oversee the movement, storage, documentation, and conservation of museum objects, ensuring compliance with Museum Accreditation, Spectrum standards, and all relevant legal requirements. You will manage significant projects aimed at improving our collections service, ensuring that the Trust’s collections are properly cared for and accessible.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of a new digital Collections Management System (CMS), manage the upgrading of storage facilities, and develop and maintain collections care and conservation programmes. As the collections management expert, you will offer professional guidance, represent the museum on specialist bodies, and support the development of grant applications and fundraising efforts.
Working closely with museum teams, external stakeholders, and contractors, you will ensure the care, preservation, and accessibility of collections, while contributing to the continuous enhancement of the museum experience for visitors. You will also be involved in strategic planning, policy development, and the training of project staff, volunteers, and apprentices.
The Culture Trust looks after the museum collection on behalf of Luton Borough Council. These encompass; the Hat Industry and Headwear Collection, covering over 400 years of hat-making in Luton; the Mossman Collection of horse drawn carriages; rare and unique medieval history, including the Wenlock Jug; plus, natural history, archaeology, costume, rural crafts, and fine art from Luton and the surrounding areas.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in collections management, conservation, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of Museum Accreditation, Spectrum standards, and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and budgets, including experience with grant application writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- The ability to work flexibly, with occasional evening and weekend work required to meet business needs.
