Important Information:
Stockwood Discovery Centre will be closed on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September for a special exhibition of the Short Tails Farewell Weekend. You can find more information and book tickets https://www.culturetrust.com/whats-on/short-tails-farewell-weekend.
Please note Scooters, Ball Games, Vaping and Smoking are not permitted anywhere in the Discovery Centre Grounds.

How can I get there?
Parking: Our spacious car park offers complimentary parking facilities. Additionally, we provide dedicated parking spaces, including two for coaches and six for individuals holding disabled badges.
Train: Our location lies approximately 1.5 miles from both Luton and Luton Airport Parkway stations. Should you prefer not to walk, a taxi rank is conveniently positioned outside Luton Station.
Bus: To reach us via bus, board the 321 from Luton Town Centre, Church Street, Stop C9.
Is cash accepted as a form of payment?
At Stockwood Discovery Centre, we are a cashless venue. Therefore, we kindly request that all payments made at the door, shop, and cafe be via electronic methods. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
What facilities do you have available?
Toilets: Fully accessible toilet facilities are available on site. Baby changing facilities are also available.
Food and Drink: The Garden Café offers a delicious menu of light bites and lunch options. We also offer pre-bookings for our delightful Afternoon Tea.
Gift Shop: Our gift shop combines traditional museum merchandise with unique goods from local craft makers across the Home Counties region. Whether seeking a seasonal keepsake or a distinctive present for a loved one, our selection caters to diverse preferences.
All proceeds from the gift shop contribute directly to the preservation of our heritage sites, ensuring continued accessibility without admission fees.
Do you allow pets?
No, pets are not allowed at the Stockwood Discovery Centre. Our Discovery Centre is a family-friendly venue, but pets are not permitted for the safety and comfort of all visitors, with the exception of service animals.

- All buildings, including the café and shop have level access
- Wheelchair, pushchair and scooter access to most galleries. Please note there is restricted access for wide pushchairs and wheelchairs, and mobility scooters in the Discovery Galleries, and Period Gardens. Some routes in the Period Gardens have steps.

- We have large outdoor gardens for visitors of all ages to enjoy
