Join us for a programme of free and ticketed events across the Hat District. You can expect live music, arts and street food & drink from 5pm – 9pm as part of our new regular creative social - Hat District Lates.
- Soul Food Poetry
Back by popular demand, Soul Food Poetry have put together an eclectic mix of DJs and musicians to host the event, and share their good vibes and big energy across the Hat District. Catch them at Hat District Lates as our resident band and hosts all throughout the summer.
- The Dhol Enforcement Agency
The most elite Dhol playing team from Leicester, Midlands, The Dhol Enforcement Agency are bringing a spectacular dhol performance to the people of Luton! You can see them live on the Hat District stage as a part of Hat District Lates. - Comedy Bar Unhinged at the Hat Factory
Our new regular comedy night with the circuit’s newest up and coming acts, hosted by Jake Pickford and headlined by Jonathan Price. New acts include Matthew Rouse, Nicholas Byard, Leslie Gold, Stephen Young, Dave Wilder, Alex Leam. (7.30pm, £4)
- Street food in the Hat District
Try out a variety of delicious street food from food companies Wilson Street Food, Chef at Home and the biscuterie as they bring their fresh flavours to the District for all to enjoy. From Indian street food to pulled meats to sweet crepes - there's something for everyone to enjoy! (Vegan options included!)
- Lost in Lace Launch Party
The launch party for the latest exhibition on display at The Hat Factory Arts Centre. Lost in Lace is an exhibition of original art works created by second year students from the University of Bedfordshire Art and Design course who have been inspired by the historical lace collection held at Wardown House, Museum and Gallery.
- Who Are You...Really? Launch
From 7pm, you can be among one of the first people to view the latest exhibition at The Hat Factory, titled Who Are You... Really? This immersive video exhibition features video, audio and photographs sourced through interviews with members of the Luton community.
- Hat House
Hat House is opening its doors once more for an evening of visual art, video projections and live electro-acoustic performance. You will have an opportunity to view a selection of video art and animations by international artists Kristy M Chan (HK/UK), Scott McMahon and Ahmed Salvador (USA) as well as a selection of works by X.Collab art platform. Luton artists Myxxed Images and Fozzy (aka The Disabled Artist) will be showing a selection from their collections of abstract artwork and Potok (Karolina Lebek) (PL/UK) will present a multisensory performance entitled Underwater Opera. To top it all off, the AVXLuton crew (Wylo Green, Myxxed Images, cmykscum and Noises from the Box with the great Paul Jolly) will close the evening with a live beat and synth jam.
